Outreach
As a part of the Challenge X Competition, each team is required to form an Outreach Program. WVU has identified its Outreach Coordinator as Emily King. The goal of the Outreach Program is to increase awareness of the Challenge X Competition as well as to shift the public’s perception about advanced vehicle technology, alternative fuels, emissions, and fuel economy without losing current vehicle functionality. There are three ways to satisfy the Outreach portion of the competition through K-12 Education, community awareness, and reaching out via the media. The following reports explain how WVU has worked towards successfully completing this Outreach Program.
