I am from Taranto, Italy. I received the "Laurea'' degree in Electrical Engineering (1996) from the University of Pisa, with a master thesis on Robust Control of Underwater Vehicles developed at the Industrial Control Center, Strathclyde University, Glasgow, UK.  I've been a Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical Systems and Automation, Pisa University, and received the Ph.D. degree in Robotics and Automation in February 2000 with a thesis on Multivariable Robust Control developed in part at the School of Aerospace Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology , Atlanta, USA. From 2000 to 2008 I have been a Research Assistant Professor at the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, West Virginia University, USA, until 2008. 
Since 2009 I am proudly working for MathWorks  as a Technical Evangelist for the west coast area.
