International Conference on Ground Control in Mining (ICGCM) Organization Committee (the Committee) has established a new website at:

http://www.icgcm.org/

The new website (Click on ICGCM logo to enter) allows the participants to submit/revision abstracts and technical papers. The website also allows ICGCM Technical Papaer Selection Committee to review the selected papers, and send the comments to the authors, create preliminary/final technical programs brochures for on-line click to view or pdf download, publishing proceedings through the application of advancing in the webpage design technologies. Additionally, online registration allows participants anywhere in workd readily register for the conference, and pay the registration fee for the conference. The Committee is accepting the credit cards registration through PayPal sytem.

The Second Annual "Best of Ground Control Lecture Lecture" was presented at 2010 SME Annual Meeting and Exibits on March 28, 2010 at Phoenix, AZ. The best technical paper were selected from the technical papars presented in 28th ICGCM in 2009. In AIME/SME Recognition Banquete, Dr. Anthony T. Iannacchione from University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA received the 2009 SME Syd S. Peng Ground Control in Mining Award.

The First Syd S. Peng in Ground Control in Mining Scholarships were introduced as SME Scholarships. The scholarships winners were Jeffery B. Kerr, sophomore in Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, and Anthony M. LeBaron, Maters graduate student in University of Utah.
