2. As the safety trainer of the Mom and Pop's Nuclear Power Plant you discover that the folks in the nearby town of Glow-in-the-Dark are very angry with Mom & Pop's. They have found many dead and/or malformed fish and aquatic life in the Mutant River, and they demand that you no longer dump the plant's wastewater in the Mutant. You decide that you need to make major improvements in your company's safety program and that as a first step you will need to train many of the employees in a 5-day program on handling nuclear waste safely. You will have to show the CEO, Mom, how much this will cost in order to justify your budget. You begin with the basic costs for trainee and instructor, and then you remember you have to develop the program, produce the materials, secure AV equipment, rent a room and provide materials, lunch, and snacks to the trainees. 3-4. As the newly hired Safety Training Manager of the Phydeaux Dog Bisket Company, in Old Orleans, Louisiana. The company has two factories working two shifts each. On your first walk-through of the plants, two things jump out at you at both plants: 1) there are many confined spaces throughout each plant but you find no record of confined space training, and 2) although there are lots of dust particles in the air (from the grains that go into the biscuits and from the biscuits themselves), the workers are not wearing any respiratory protection.
