“Girl Scout Day” is where we invite girl scouts from all over the state ages six to twelve to participate in a day of learning about math, science, technology, and engineering, making new friends, and making huge messes! Each year the event grows in popularity and the attendance keeps rising. We found that holding the event in the spring instead of the fall allowed the girls to do experiments outside and earn a totally new variety of badges. Everyone who attends gets a t-shirt, lunch, and three badges each… not too bad for a single day’s work on their part.
