The IAC at WVU has been in operation since 1991 with grant support from U.S. Department of Energy.
The WVU IAC will focus on providing real world experience to students and producing energy savvy engineers with specialized technical knowledge on industrial energy assessments result in energy savings,waste reduction,sustainability and productivity improvement. Working with our partners, the IAC at WVU will aim to create the next generation of energy engineers who will have sound technical knowledge on energy assessment methods, ISO 50001 energy management certification and measurement verification, in-depth understanding of management systems and business sense, corporate culture, industrial supply chains, and sustainability issues.
IAC Success
The IAC at WVU works with students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Since 1991, the IAC has delivered energy assessment training to numerous master’s‚ doctorate students and undergraduate students.The IAC has helped more than 400 manufacturing industries, save energy upto 5.4 trillion British thermal units(BTU) per year.For more details Click here

The Industrial Assessment Center at West Virginia University has helped more than 400 manufacturing industries, saving energy up to 5.4 trillion British thermal units(BTU) per year. Implemented projects worth $11.6 million to achieve savings of $18.2 million.
